Credit where due: Blog2Social’s coverage is broad. It publishes to all 11 platforms SocialKit supports — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon, and Google Business — and adds a long tail of blog, bookmarking, and broadcast endpoints SocialKit does not: Medium, Tumblr, Blogger, XING, VK, Flickr, Diigo, and more. If you specifically need those long-tail destinations, Blog2Social genuinely covers ground we do not, and platform count is not the place to attack it.

The catch is how that coverage is unlocked. The Free plugin tier lists 12 networks but excludes Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky (Smart and up) and Google Business (Pro and up), and X, YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, and Telegram are not native at any tier — they require paid add-ons (as of June 2026). SocialKit includes all 11 platforms on every plan, with X and the video networks in the box, and no per-tier network gating.

This is the core difference. Blog2Social’s DNA is a WordPress plugin: its strongest workflow is “publish a blog post, auto-share it everywhere.” That is genuinely excellent if you live in WordPress — but it ties the product to your CMS. You install and update a plugin, manage it from the WP dashboard, and the companion web app (the path for non-WordPress users) is the less-polished half of the product.

SocialKit takes the opposite bet: it is a standalone, hosted visual scheduler that is blog-agnostic. There is nothing to install in WordPress, nothing to keep updated, and no assumption that your content originates from a blog at all. Whether you post from Canva, a phone, a Google Doc, or any CMS, the workflow is the same — connect your accounts, write once, customize per network, schedule. If you are not tied to WordPress, that independence is the whole point.

Blog2Social runs two separate price ladders. The WordPress plugin lists Free, Smart at $8/month, Pro at $12/month, and Business at $29/month — every paid tier billed “per month, billed yearly,” so it is an annual commitment with no monthly option. The browser web app lists Free, Solo at $19/month (currently shown at a $12 promo), and Team at $39/month, billed monthly (as of June 2026).

The sticker prices look low — until you add the networks most creators need. X/Twitter is a paid add-on ($14.99–$59.99/month by post volume), the video networks (YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo) need a separate Video add-on ($69/year), and Telegram its own add-on (~$19/year). Stack those onto a plugin plan and the real monthly cost climbs well past the headline.

SocialKit Solo is €29/month flat (€17.40/month billed annually) and includes all 11 platforms — X and the video networks included — 15 social accounts, unlimited scheduled posts, analytics, AI, and API + webhooks, with no add-ons to bolt on and no annual lock-in required. Prices verified on Blog2Social’s own pricing page in June 2026 — they change, so check current rates when you decide.

Blog2Social’s scheduling is built around content distribution: auto-post new blog posts, re-share existing ones on a schedule, and cross-post with per-network formatting. The Content Calendar and Best-Time Manager start at the Smart tier, and the AI Writing Assistant and image editor are reserved for Pro and Business (as of June 2026) — so the modern-creator tooling sits behind the upper tiers.

SocialKit includes best-time auto-posting, per-platform customization, first-comment scheduling, a calendar view, post templates, a content library, a hashtag manager, native thread posting on X, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon, and an AI assistant — all on every plan, from Solo up. You choose a plan for the accounts and seats you need, not to unlock the features.

For teams, Blog2Social gates user seats and team management by tier: the plugin allows 1 user on Free, 2 on Smart, 5 on Pro, and 10 on Business, with team management at Business (the web app’s Team plan covers 3 users). It does not market an approval workflow or comments-on-posts collaboration, and there is no native analytics suite comparable to a full social-media-management tool (as of June 2026). There is also no native iOS or Android app — just the WordPress plugin, the web app, and browser extensions.

SocialKit’s Team plan is a flat €49/month (€29.40/month billed annually) with 30 social accounts, 2 seats (extra teammates €2 each, extra accounts €4 each), an approval flow, and comments on posts, plus analytics on every plan and API + webhooks on every plan — including Solo — ready for Zapier, Make, and n8n. On reliability, some users report on WordPress.org connection breakages and re-authentication friction; that is review-sourced, but it is worth weighing for a tool whose core job is publishing on schedule.
