Credit where due: Publer covers the same 11 platforms as SocialKit — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon, and Google Business — and adds Telegram and WordPress on top. If either of those two extras is essential to your workflow, Publer simply covers ground SocialKit does not.

There are two footnotes worth knowing, though. Publer connects Instagram Business accounts only, so personal profiles must convert first, and X is available on paid plans only — the free plan excludes it (as of June 2026). The bigger difference is not coverage but billing: SocialKit includes all 11 platforms in every flat plan, while on Publer each connected account is a line item on the invoice.

Both tools handle the fundamentals: visual calendars, scheduling queues, and bulk workflows. Publer’s paid plans include unlimited scheduling and eternal post history; its free plan caps you at 10 pending posts per account and 25 drafts, which makes serious batching difficult without upgrading.

SocialKit gives you unlimited scheduled posts on every plan, plus best-time auto-posting, first-comment scheduling, per-platform customization, and native thread posting on X, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. On Publer, best-time-to-post is listed as a Business-plan feature — on SocialKit it ships on every plan, including Solo.

SocialKit Solo is €29/month flat (€17.40/month billed annually) and includes 15 social accounts across all 11 platforms, unlimited scheduled posts, analytics, AI on every plan, and API + webhooks.

Publer’s Professional plan lists at a $5/month base for one account, plus $4/month per extra account (every 10th is free). Configured the way most people actually use it, third-party reviews and Publer’s own comparison pages quote roughly $12/month for Professional and $21/month for Business. Connect accounts on all 11 networks and Publer’s own pricing calculator lists Professional at $44/month — on Business, with its $7 per-account add-on, $77/month (as of June 2026; check their plans page for current rates).

If you genuinely run one or two accounts, Publer is cheaper — that is the honest trade-off, and its free plan makes the gap bigger. But the crossover comes early: from roughly four or five accounts up, SocialKit’s flat plan wins, and it never asks you to recalculate the bill before connecting a new network.

On Publer’s published plans, AI Assist, analytics, best-time-to-post, hashtag suggestions, and video design sit on the Business plan and up — the Professional tier is essentially a scheduler. That means the “real” feature set starts at the $10 base with $7 per extra account.

SocialKit takes the opposite approach: AI is on every plan (metered credits — 150 on Solo, 500 on Team, 1000 on Enterprise), and analytics, best-time posting, templates, a content library, and a hashtag manager are included from Solo upward. You choose a plan for the number of accounts and seats you need, not to unlock the features.

Publer’s team model is add-on based: members cost $2/month each on Professional and $3/month each on Business, on top of the per-account fees, with every 10th member free. It is flexible, but the invoice grows with every person and every account you add — and the agency features it markets (workspaces, member roles) compound that math.

SocialKit’s Team plan is a flat €49/month (€29.40/month billed annually) and starts with a real bundle: 30 social accounts and 2 seats included, then €4 per extra account and €2 per extra teammate if you outgrow them — plus an approval workflow and comments on posts. One more genuine differentiator: API access and webhooks ship on every SocialKit plan, including Solo — ready for Zapier, Make, and n8n — while Publer lists API access from the Business plan up (as of June 2026).
