Credit where due: on Pinterest itself, Tailwind goes deeper than general-purpose schedulers. SmartSchedule picks optimal pinning times, Communities let you swap content with niche groups, and its keyword and SEO tools are built specifically for Pinterest search. It has been a Pinterest developer partner since 2012, and that focus shows.

SocialKit treats Pinterest as one of 11 first-class platforms: you can schedule Pins on a visual calendar, use best-time auto-posting, customize each post per platform, and manage everything from the same dashboard you use for TikTok, LinkedIn, and the rest. If Pinterest is 100% of your strategy, Tailwind’s specialist tooling may justify itself. If Pinterest is one channel among several, a single all-platform tool is simpler and cheaper.

SocialKit Solo is €29/month flat (€17.40/month billed annually) and includes 15 social accounts across all 11 platforms, unlimited scheduled posts, analytics, AI on every plan, and API + webhooks.

Tailwind’s plans list at $29.99/month for Pro ($17.99/month billed annually, 1 account, 150 posts/month), $54.99 for Advanced ($29.99 annual, 2 accounts, 300 posts), and $99.99 for Max ($49.99/month billed annually, 3 accounts, unlimited posts). Each plan also includes a monthly AI-credit allowance; per Tailwind’s pricing FAQ, posting and AI tools pause when you hit your plan’s limits until renewal or an upgrade. Tailwind also runs frequent percentage discounts — the page showed 40–50% off banners when we checked — so displayed prices change; verify current rates on their pricing page (figures as of June 2026).

At headline annual prices, Tailwind Pro ($17.99) and SocialKit Solo (€17.40) look close. What you get is not: one social account, one user, a 150-post monthly quota, and three networks versus 15 accounts, unlimited posts, and 11 networks.

Tailwind meters volume by plan: 5 posts/month on Free Forever, 150 on Pro, 300 on Advanced, and unlimited only on Max — which still caps you at 3 social accounts and 5 users (as of June 2026). Approval workflows and post comments are not listed on its pricing pages, which makes sense for its solo-creator audience but leaves teams improvising.

SocialKit has no monthly post quotas on any plan. Solo includes 15 social accounts; the Team plan is a flat €49/month (€29.40/month billed annually) with 30 social accounts, 2 seats (extra teammates €2 each, extra accounts €4 each), an approval flow, and comments on posts. If you manage multiple brands or clients, the difference in headroom is substantial.

Both products meter their AI. Tailwind’s credits power its generative tools — Ghostwriter, SmartPin, Made for You — with 5 credits/month on Free, 150 on Pro, and up to 1000 on Max; per Tailwind’s pricing FAQ, when credits run out those tools pause until the next billing cycle or an upgrade (June 2026). SocialKit includes AI on every plan with metered credits as well (150 on Solo, 500 on Team, 1000 on Enterprise) — AI on every plan, not unlimited, and the credits are included in the plan price: there is no pay-per-action billing on top of your subscription.

Analytics follow each tool’s focus: Tailwind’s insights are Pinterest-centric (Pin, board, and profile performance), while SocialKit reports across every connected platform on every plan.
